How to Resize an Image

Step 1 — Upload your image
Drag and drop a JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or BMP file into the upload box, or click to browse. The maximum file size is 20 MB.

Step 2 — Enter your new dimensions
Type the width and height in pixels. The tool shows the original size of your image so you always know what you started with.

Step 3 — Keep or unlock the aspect ratio
Leave Lock Aspect Ratio enabled to keep your image proportions intact. Turn it off if you need a completely different width and height — then choose how the image should fill the new frame:

  • Stretch – fills the exact dimensions (may distort the image).
  • Auto Crop – fills the frame and trims the edges cleanly.
  • Fit – shows the whole image with a padded background (White, Black, Blur, or Transparent).

Step 4 — Preview and download
See the resized result instantly. Click Download Resized Image to save your new file. PNG and WebP files keep their transparency when you choose the transparent fit option.

Common Image Resizing Tasks

Resize an Image for Social Media

Need a 1080×1080 post, a 1200×628 link preview, or a 1080×1920 story? Enter those exact pixel dimensions and download the result.

Resize Photos to Reduce File Size

Smaller pixel dimensions often produce smaller files — handy for email attachments, websites, and online forms.

Resize PNG Images With Transparency

Keep the Lock Aspect Ratio off and choose the Fit → Transparent option. Your PNG or WebP will keep its transparent background in the downloaded file.

Resize an Image Without Losing Quality

For best results, resize to dimensions close to your original size. Large upscales may look soft regardless of the tool.
